Bluebie ("Bluebie", "we", "us", or "the Service") is a web-based grocery-list application operated by an individual sole developer based in Cork, Ireland (Erika Michielon — the "Operator"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you ("you" or "the user") and the Operator regarding your use of the Service available at https://bluebie.app and any companion mobile wrappers.
By creating an account, signing in, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Bluebie. This minimum age reflects the digital consent age under the GDPR as adopted in Ireland. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.
Bluebie uses Google Sign-In as the only authentication method. By signing in, you confirm that the Google account you use belongs to you and that you will keep your Google account credentials secure. You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your account.
Each account is intended for one person. Please do not share your account credentials or let others use your account.
Everything you put into Bluebie — your lists, items, categories, and any other content you create — remains yours. You retain all rights to it.
You grant Bluebie a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, display, and process your content solely to the extent necessary to operate the Service (for example, to sync your list across your devices and with people you have invited). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for any residual copies that may exist briefly in backups or operational logs.
You are solely responsible for the content you create and share. You promise that your content does not infringe anyone else's rights and does not violate any law.
Bluebie lets you invite other people to a list, and to remove them again later. When you use this feature:
Please only invite people you trust with the contents of your list.
You agree that you will not:
Bluebie is provided as a free service by an individual developer. We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. We may, at any time and without prior notice:
We will make reasonable efforts to give advance notice of material changes that would significantly affect your ability to use the Service, but we are not obliged to do so.
By you: You can stop using Bluebie at any time. You can permanently delete your account from the Account section of the in-app menu. The effects of deletion are described in our Privacy Policy.
By us: We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, if your use poses a risk to other users or to the Service, or if we are required to do so by law.
On termination, all licences granted to you under these Terms end. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership of content, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and governing law) will continue to apply.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bluebie is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, or that your data will never be lost.
Nothing in this section limits any rights you have as a consumer under Irish or EU law that cannot be excluded by contract.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event will the Operator be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Service.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded but can be limited, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you have paid to use the Service in the 12 months before the claim arose (which, for a free service, is zero), or (b) one hundred euro (€100).
Nothing in this section excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Irish or EU law.
You agree to indemnify and hold the Operator harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or damages, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to your content, your use of the Service in violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
The Service itself — including its name, design, code, graphics, and the "Bluebie" brand — is owned by the Operator and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use the Bluebie name, logo, or branding without prior written permission.
Your privacy matters. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand what data we collect, why, and what your rights are.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, for example by showing a notice in the app on next sign-in. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. The courts of Ireland will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the Service.
If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you also benefit from any mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of that country. The European Commission also provides an Online Dispute Resolution platform.
